UNDERSTANDING YOUR COMPANY AND IT'S NEEDS
Dan Price, Founder & CEO of Gravity Payments
Dan Price founded Gravity Payments in 2004 from his Seattle Pacific University dorm room. After touring and managing the finances of his successful high school rock band, Straightforward, Dan began to witness thousands of small business owners being overcharged and underserved by their credit card processors. He knew that was unfair, so he decided to blow the industry wide open by charging a third less than everyone else and committing to providing the best service possible. His mission is to stand up for the little guy and fight against those who exploit them by leveling the payments processing playing field and make financial services finally fair for all. Since then, Gravity Payments grew rapidly from its small start-up roots to a 100+ employee company that is currently the largest payment processor in Washington State with clients located all over the United States.
In June 2010, Dan Price was honored by President Barack Obama with the Small Business Administration's "National Young Entrepreneur of the Year" Award for his entrepreneurship and the sustained success of Gravity Payments.
